As my crafty side was so dormant for so long, I decided that I would make a baby blanket for little Emily Vivienne (Martin and Natalie's bundle of joy) who was born late 2012. I am very, very happy with the results! I only wish I could get to Switzerland to give it to her; I, unfortunately, have to hope that it survives the postal service. I found the pattern on Pinterest (where else?) and was inspired by the ombre effect that they use on The Purl Bee. The colours that I found went to nicely together; I think that it's perfect for a little girl. The instructions were very easy to follow (I especially liked that it was all knit), even though I did muck up quite a few times...that's what happens when you're too engrossed in your episode of Weeds, I guess.
Hope you like it! But mostly, I hope that Emily likes it :)
Other than that, 2013 has been very kind to me so far. Jess and Soph were visiting this past weekend, which was so so so much fun! I'll blog about it later, once I get my photos sorted and have a little bit more time. But, suffice it to say that they are welcome back whenever :) Veronica moved back to Hamilton yesterday, and the house doesn't feel the same without her. She was travelling about Ireland with her friend from back home all week, so we didn't get to see her at all but now that she's back in Canada and we have a new roommate (Stina from Finland), it's really sinking in that things are changing. I'm welcoming the change with open arms - regardless of who I'm living with, I know that my last few months in Ireland will be grand!
Hope you're all doing well xxxxx
